I stayed here for a week while birding at Sax Zim bog. It's very cozy and very clean. The hosts are helpful and check in on the guests frequently. I stayed in the West Lodge and we had access to a kitchen with multiple items provided for our use, including breakfast items at no charge. The atmosphere has a real lodge feel to it. Birders get together at the end of the day, have meals together, talk about birds, and have wonderful chats. I really enjoyed meeting all the people that passed through and I hope to come back again in the future.
Perfect lodging for anyone visiting Sax Zim Bog. Rooms vary in number of beds. Can only speak to the West Lodge, I have stayed there twice. Room was comfortable. Downstairs is a shared space with a full kitchen (oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishes, utensils) for guest use, a dining area, and, a living room area with a fireplace, couch, chairs, and television. English muffins, coffee, tea, and juice are provided for guests. This is a perfect spot for birders wanting an early start in the bog.
Wonderful place to stay!! Very clean, quiet and friendly owners! Has full kitchen setup if you want to cook your own meals. Plus it is so handy for birding at Sax Zim bog and it has several feeders. Highly recommend it!

This spot is absolutely magical. Beautiful grounds. The lodges are cozy and plenty of space to sit and relax after a long day of birding. WiFi of course The owners are there for you and want you to have a great stay. There is a kitchen with everything you need to bring your own food Free coffee in the morning Or when you get back sitting by the fire with some coffee (for me). Or wine. Whatever Rent the rooms in the same lodge with your friends and have a wonderful stay I stayed in two lodges this time both were amazing Feeders outside to watch the sing birds in the snow Thank you Cindy Highly recommend
Stayed in the Pinewood Suite for 2 nights. It is cozy, clean and well maintained. Very nicely decorated. If you are birding in Sax/Zim Bog this is the place to stay.
This is the most lovely and comfortable accommodation. We stayed in the West Lodge, which has a full kitchen which worked out great, since there are not nearby restaurants. It is newly remodeled, and a warm stovepipe gas fireplace in the living room. Here's the best part, Mark the owner helped me fix a part on my tripod for my camera, and he did so expertly and with such patience in his shop on the premises. Thank you Mark! P.S. Today we got great pics of the Hawk Owl!!!
Sometimes, 'the only place in town' is a disappointment. Not here!!! This property is gorgeous, the price is very fair, the accommodations are fantastic...just like staying at home. Cindy was wonderful to deal with. And if you are a birder, besides having Sax Zim Bog just down the road, the birds onsite were great! All the stars possible for Alesches :)
